CNTXT Privacy Policy

Middle East Cloud and Digital Transformation Company Limited ("CNTXT", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data when you visit our website (www.cntxt.com), use our products or services, or engage with us. By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.

Definitions

  • Personal Data: Any data that identifies or can identify an individual.

  • Data Controller: Entity that determines the purpose and means of processing personal data.

  • Data Processor: Entity that processes personal data on behalf of a controller.

  • PDPL: Saudi Arabia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree M/19, 2021, amended by M/147, 2023).

 

  • CDF: means CNTXT Data Fusion, a software system made and implemented by or on behalf of CNTXT, the core functionality of which is to collect, process, and store personal data and to make such personal data available for consumption. The term "CDF'' shall include CDF API and Extractors. A further description of CDF shall be maintained at https://www.cognite.com/en/product/cognite_data_fusion_industrial_dataops_platform
  • InSafe:  means CNTXT InSafe, a software system developed and implemented by or on behalf of CNTXT, the core functionality of which is to digitize, manage, and monitor the full lifecycle of industrial safety processes, including but not limited to work permits, job safety analyses, gas testing, lockout/tagout, and joint site inspections. The term “InSafe” shall include the InSafe application, API, and associated modules or configurations deployed for customer environments. CNTXT is a Saudi company established under commercial registration number 1010796728, with its registered office at KAFD 1.15 , 23floor

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • “Website” refers to www.cntxt.com

  • “You” or “Your” refers to any individual using our Website or services

  • Terms not defined here have the same meaning as defined under the PDPL

2. Legal Basis for Processing Your Data

We process your personal data only when allowed by PDPL, including:

  • With your explicit consent, when required

  • To fulfil a contract or our legal obligations

  • To pursue our legitimate business interests, provided it does not override your fundamental rights

  • As required by regulatory authorities or for compliance with applicable laws

We do not use your personal data for any purposes incompatible with those originally stated without your consent.

We may collect and process the following categories of personal data:

  • Identity & Contact Data: Full name, job title, employer, email address, telephone number, 
  • Technical Data: IP address, location, browser (type and version), equipment (e.g. Mobile OS/Device Type), hardware (processor, RAM, bandwidth, etc.), events, duration of sessions
  • Payment Details: (CC Name, CC Number, CC Expiry, etc.)
  • Usage Data: Website navigation patterns, login data

  • Professional Data: Training progress (CNTXT Academy) Program Registration Details, product engagement

  • Communications Data: Preferences, feedback, marketing opt-ins

4. How We Collect Personal Data

We collect personal data:

  • Directly from you: Via forms, emails, sign-ups, onboarding, events

  • Automatically: Through cookies and analytics tools

  • From third-party partners: Identity providers, CRM systems, external platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Twilio)

5. How We Use Personal Data

We use your personal data for:

  • Providing, managing, and supporting CNTXT services (including CDF, CRM, CNTXT Academy)

  • Customer onboarding and account management

  • Event and newsletter invitations

  • Training and upskilling via CNTXT Academy

  • Marketing, surveys, product development, and analytics

  • Complying with legal and regulatory obligations

We act as a Data Controller and, in certain services, also as a Data Processor.

6. Third-Party Products

For third-party products we resell or integrate, additional onboarding or privacy notices may apply. These are governed by their respective terms and privacy policies, which you are encouraged to review.

We may share your data with:

  • Trusted third-party service providers and sub-processors

  • Our group entities

  • Government or regulatory authorities as required by law

All third parties are contractually obligated to process your personal data in compliance with PDPL.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Service-related data: up to 3 years after customer relationship ends

  • Marketing communications: until you opt-out or the customer relationship ends

We securely delete or anonymize data once retention purposes expire.

10. Your Rights Under the PDPL

You may have the right to:

  • Be informed about how we process your data

  • Access your personal data

  • Correct or update inaccurate data

  • Delete your data (in specific circumstances)

  • Port your data to another controller

  • Withdraw your consent at any time

We will respond within 30 days, extendable by an additional 30 days if needed.

11. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data, including:

  • Restricted access controls

  • Encryption and secure storage

  • Breach detection and incident response plans

In the event of a data breach, you and the relevant authority will be notified within 72 hours, where required by law.
